My Story

As a product of teen parents, Dr. Moore experienced the positive impact of teachers, family, coaches, and mentors. This created a personal passion for mentoring youth – especially black males to see them maximize their potential and beat the odds. As a young college student, he was very involved as a community mentor and started a non-profit organization, The I Am Program, that provided empowerment sessions and male role models to many elementary students in the Triad. The I Am Program expanded its impact to provide dozens of cooked Thanksgiving meals and sponsored several families for Christmas.

He is the Director of Male Academic & Student Success, housed in the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics. at his alma mater, NC A&T University. In this leadership role, he oversees a multi-million dollar program charged with supporting minority male success, retention & increasing graduation rates.
